Its flavor is stronger and more complex, enriched by a greater concentration of flavors. Due to this long aging, the cheese becomes particularly rich in nutrients, making it ideal for grating or use in flavorful fillings.
It is also recommended for introduction into infants’ first meals because of its nutritional properties and digestibility.

This cheese is a true hymn to tradition. Unlike other more industrial varieties, Parmigiano Reggiano is still made in an artisanal way, with the expert hands of cheesemakers following ancient methods handed down from generation to generation.
During the 27- to 34-month aging phase, Parmigiano Reggiano Reggiano develops a unique flavor profile, with hints of dried fruit, meat broth and spices such as nutmeg. The cheese flake results very crumbly, soluble and dry, perfect for enhancing the finest dishes or simply to be enjoyed on its own.
