“In the 1990s we took an important step and obtained Organic Certification of the land and raw materials cultivated, grains and fodder needed to feed the animals. All in all, our father and grandfather always worked this way, we only certified what were our daily production techniques.”

A nice article by Luca Bonacini for James Magazine about Fattoria Rossi as a virtuous example of good farming, where cows and pigs run free and respect for the environment and animal welfare come first.

Fattoria Rossi participates in the project “In Forma – Virtuous supply chains with high animal welfare content in the Parmigiano Reggiano production area” – Initiative implemented under the Regional Rural Development Program 2014-2020 of Emilia-Romagna – Operation Type 16.1.01 – Operational groups of the European Innovation Partnership: Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability – Focus Area 3A – Improving the competitiveness of primary producers by better integrating them into the agrifood chain through quality schemes, creation of added value for agricultural products, promotion of products in local markets, short supply chains, producer associations and organizations, and interprofessional organizations.

Project Objectives:
Verify the technical, environmental and economic feasibility of a PR that can guarantee high standards of BA, in order to meet the evolution of national and international demand toward a supply that can guarantee the ethicality and sustainability of agri-food production, increasing the competitiveness and profitability of the PR throughout the supply chain.

Total project amount: € 296,844.63 – Regional contribution allowed: € 226,566.94.
Total amount for Fattoria Rossi: € 12,207.30 – Regional contribution received: € 8,872.80.
